The role will involve planning experiments, carrying out the laboratory work, analysing and subsequently presenting the data and writing reports.

Currently our R&D team is based at the Babraham Research Campus, we are having brand new facilities built in Coldham's Lane, Cambridge to move into early next year.

The successful candidate will have a higher level qualification (BSc or above) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a closely related field. Experience in statistical data analysis and Design of Experiments (DoE) is highly desirable.

Candidates will have experience in a molecular biological discipline and the desire to become an expert in the company's isothermal DNA/RNA amplification and detection technology: RPA. You, working closely with your applications colleagues, will assist customers wishing to use RPA to power laboratory, field and decentralised applications for digital, microfluidics/lab-on-chip, companion diagnostics, agriculture and defence. Your daily role will involve fielding technical support queries which could be quick answers to frequently asked questions, through to questions which require more in depth analysis and a lengthier set of communications to answer technically complicated issues. You will utilise the company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Experience in a previous customer facing role would be of value.

We are looking for someone to join our protein process development team at our Cambridge Science Park site.

The role will involve downstream and purification process design and development alongside the transfer of these methods into manufacturing. The role will also involve identifying and implementing process improvements supporting the vital and ongoing development of our protein manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be equally happy working in the laboratory and pursuing desk-based activities.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in AKTA protein purification and programming, preferably using the AKTA Pilot.  Experience in design of experiment software and TFF and associated downstream techniques is highly desirable.

The broader protein manufacturing team comprises 13 people and you will be working closely with the Lead PD Scientist and the Manufacturing Manager. Whilst working within the team, your role has a certain amount of autonomy and you should feel confident in speaking with the wider management team about the work you are conducting.

It would be of huge benefit if you have industrial manufacturing experience and a PhD in a related subject, although a PhD isn’t essential if your experience is relevant.
