TwistDx is expanding as we continue to research new applications of the RPA technology and to add new products and kits to the range. Opportunities to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team at our head office and production sites in Cambridge, UK, are described below.

We are looking for someone to join our protein process development team at our Cambridge Science Park site.

The role will involve downstream and purification process design and development alongside the transfer of these methods into manufacturing. The role will also involve identifying and implementing process improvements supporting the vital and ongoing development of our protein manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be equally happy working in the laboratory and pursuing desk-based activities.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in AKTA protein purification and programming, preferably using the AKTA Pilot.  Experience in design of experiment software and TFF and associated downstream techniques is highly desirable.

The broader protein manufacturing team comprises 13 people and you will be working closely with the Lead PD Scientist and the Manufacturing Manager. Whilst working within the team, your role has a certain amount of autonomy and you should feel confident in speaking with the wider management team about the work you are conducting.

It would be of huge benefit if you have industrial manufacturing experience and a PhD in a related subject, although a PhD isn’t essential if your experience is relevant.

If you would like to apply, please send your CV with a letter of application to quoting reference TWAKTA06092017.

We are looking for a laboratory assistant to join our R&D team carrying out work contributing to the development of in vitro diagnostic assays using the RPA technology.

Someone with a background in molecular biology, through academia or experience, and experience in data processing as well as knowledge of data analysis software (eg JMP), would be the ideal candidate.

The role comprises planning experiments, practical laboratory work, analysis of data and the presentation of the data to colleagues. This work will be carried out under the guidance of the Lead Scientist.

You may have experience working on development activities within an R&D department under supervision or be a new graduate in a biological science discipline who demonstrates enthusiasm, energy and a willingness to learn. You will enjoy the mixture of practical lab-based work and desk-based analysis and the use of statistical software to analyse the data you produce.

The role is currently based at our Babraham Research Park site.
